v0.4.4

  • Keep the line break Word writes between the XML declaration and the root element. It was serialised as 
, a character reference the prolog does not allow, which left every part of the rendered .docx malformed and the file unopenable in Word and Pages.

Initial release of the Elixir port. Feature parity with the Ruby sablon gem v0.4.3:

  • MailMerge field processing: «=expr» insertions, «expr:each(...)» loops, «expr:if(...)» conditionals, «@comment:start» blocks.
  • Content types: strings, WordProcessingML, HTML (with a built-in lenient HTML parser), images.
  • Section properties, custom field handlers, configurable HTML tag and style registries.
  • Built-in XML parser/serializer, XPath 1.0 subset and ZIP codec — the only runtime dependency is Jason.
  • sablon escript mirroring the Ruby CLI: cat context.json | sablon template.docx output.docx.
