mix bash_fixtures.rehash (JustBash v0.4.0)

View Source

Rewrites stored content_hash values to match the current case inputs.

Only needed when a case's stored hash has drifted from its script — either because the script was edited without re-recording, or because the hash predates the canonicalization in JustBash.Fixtures.

Rehashing deliberately does not touch the recorded expectations. It makes the drift visible instead of papering over it: after rehashing, the affected cases have no recording, mix bash_fixtures.verify says so, and re-recording produces a diff showing what those cases should have been asserting all along.

mix bash_fixtures.rehash wc # adopt current scripts
mix bash_fixtures wc # re-derive expectations from real bash
git diff test/fixtures # read what changed, and why

Usage

mix bash_fixtures.rehash # whole corpus
mix bash_fixtures.rehash wc cp # specific suites
mix bash_fixtures.rehash --dry-run # report drift, write nothing
