Basics

This check is disabled by default.

Learn how to enable it via .credo.exs.

This check has a base priority of normal and works with any version of Elixir.

Explanation

A with whose else clauses all return exactly what they matched is redundant — remove the else block entirely.

# bad — identity else
with {:ok, result} <- do_something() do
  {:ok, result}
else
  {:error, reason} -> {:error, reason}
end

# good
do_something()
