ChannelClient.Formats.ETF (channel_client v0.1.0)

Erlang External Term Format (:etf), carrying the protocol v2 array shape [join_ref, ref, topic, event, payload].

Zero-dependency alternative to JSON for Elixir/Erlang-to-Elixir services. The server side must be configured to speak the same format.

Decoding uses binary_to_term/2 in :safe mode, so malformed or hostile frames cannot create new atoms on the client.
